President - Renelda Pharr Owen, BMC 1978, New Albany MS
Renelda Pharr Owen is a 1978 graduate of Blue Mountain College with majors in English and biblical studies and minors in social science and psychology. She continued her education at the University of Mississippi, earning a graduate degree in English. She has been on the faculty at Delta State University's Division of Languages and Literature since 2004, and recently became a fully online instructor. She is married to the Rev. Billy N. Owen, District Superintendent of the New Albany District of the United Methodist Church, and they have resided in New Albany since 2015. They have two sons and two grandchildren.
Vice President – Lisa Gay Calhoun, BMC 1994, Puckett, MS
Lisa is married to Thomas Calhoun and resides in Puckett, MS with their two children Catherine (6) and Caroline (5). She received degrees from Blue Mountain College and Mississippi State University. She previously taught at Mississippi State University, Blue Mountain College, and The University of Florida; but now stays at home and home schools the children. She is active in Puckett Baptist, and community. She loves Blue Mountain College and strives to be an active alumna.
Immediate Past President – Anna Jackson Quinn, BMC 1961, New Albany MS
Anna Quinn, a 1961 graduate of Blue Mountain College, has spent 40 years as an English teacher in both the public and private schools of Mississippi. After earning her B. S. degree at Blue Mountain College, she continued her education at both Mississippi State University and at the University of Mississippi. She received her M.A. in English from the University of Mississippi in 1975 and began her career as a college teacher, first at Northeast Mississippi Community College and finally as Director of Freshman English at Blue Mountain College from 1991-2006. During these years she has supported the BMC Alumni Association, working in the local club, serving as an academic representative, and serving as both vice-president and as president. She was married to her late husband Kenneth Quinn for 50 years. Anna has a son and a daughter and two granddaughters.
Secretary – Cora Jones Davidson, BMC 1976, Collierville TN
A 1976 graduate of BMC, Cora is retired after a long career with AT&T. Cora also serves as the Scholarship Events Chair for the BMC Greater Memphis Alumni Chapter. Making their home in Collierville, TN, she and her husband, Donnie, have been married for 38 years and are the proud parents of two and grandparents of 5 with a sixth on the way.
Treasurer – Anita Crump Eddings, BMC 1975, New Albany MS
Anita is a member of the BMC Class of 1975 and lives in New Albany, Mississippi. She works at Regions Bank and serves as church pianist at Hillcrest Baptist Church. She has served as the Treasurer for the Blue Mountain College Alumni Association for 10+ years and appreciates the nomination to continue in that position. She states: “It has been an honor to serve as Treasurer always striving to see that the monies invested in the Association by the alumni, whether through dues or gifts, are used in a wise and productive manner that is pleasing to God.”
Preservationist – Ashley Ball Berry, BMC 2002, Iuka MS
Ashley Ball Berry graduated in 2002 from BMC with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and in 2004 completed a Master of Arts in History from Southeast Missouri State University. She began her career with the National Park Service while a student at BMC. Seventeen years later, Ashley is a Supervisory Park Ranger at Shiloh National Military Park. Ashley currently lives in Iuka, MS with her husband Clint and their 1 year old son, Clinton.
Ministerial Alumni Rep – Thomas Magers II, BMC 2011 Corinth MS
Thomas ('11) is married to Amanda Johnson Magers ('13). They have three children: Thomas III is eleven years old, Aryana is nine years old, and Titus is three years old. Thomas graduated from Blue Mountain College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies. He is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Expository Preaching. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in preaching from NOBTS. He is the pastor of Holly Baptist Church in Alcorn County. In his spare time, Thomas enjoys reading, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

Social Media Coordinator – Carol Peters, BMC 2007 & 2009, Myrtle MS
Carol Peters graduated summa cum laude from Blue Mountain College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She then completed her Master of Education at Blue Mountain College, graduating in 2009. Carol is currently teaching kindergarten at Myrtle Attendance Center. She has taught for nine years, and has served as the graduate representative for the Alumni Board in the past.
Post-Grad Rep – Teresa Pullen Ohler, BMC 1999 & 2008, New Albany MS
Teresa Pullen Ohler, the representative for post grad alumni, is a two-time graduate of BMC - first with a Bachelor's of Science in Education in 1999 and next with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2008. Teresa is married to Jason Ohler (BMC class of 2000), and they reside in New Albany with their daughters, Meredith and Emily. She is a fourth grade teacher at New Albany Elementary where she teaches reading and language arts. Teresa is also a member of Ingomar Baptist church where she and her husband teach first-third grade Sunday school.
Area Rep At-Large – Delise Teague, BMC 1985, Ramer TN
Delise Teague, alumni board representative at-large, and coordinator of the new Toppers Athletic Alumni Chapter, joined the Blue Mountain College faculty in 2015. She serves as Director of the Teaching and Learning Center and Assistant Professor of Education. Delise holds a BA in English from BMC, MA in Journalism from Ole Miss, and EdD in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University. When she was a student at BMC, Delise played basketball and softball and was active in BSU, serving as president during her senior year.
Central MS/Greater Jackson Area – Norma Ruth Robbins Lee, BMC 1962, Forest MS
Norma Ruth, New Albany native and wife of Judge Tom Lee, is a long-time supportive BMC alumna. She has matched her generous support of BMC with an equally gracious willingness to bring her vivacious effervescence to the Board in service to the alumni of the Central Mississippi area.
Central/East Tennessee – Frances Massey, BMC 1965, Brentwood TN
Frances Magers Massey received a B.S. Degree from BMC and a M. Ed Degree from the University of Memphis. She retired from teaching English at Mt. Juliet High School. She and her husband are active members of Brentwood United Methodist Church and have two sons and a daughter-in-law. Some of her volunteer activities include the Adult Learning Center, P.E.O., and serving as Nashville area representative for the BMC Alumni Association.
Central/South Alabama Co-Reps
Lynne Mayhall Heaven, BMC 1971, Birmingham AL
Lynne retired from the insurance industry after approximately 35 years primarily as a claims adjuster. After BMC she attended graduate school at the University of Virginia where she met husband Tim. They have two married sons. She is a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church, serving as a member of Serendipity Sunday School class, Celebration Singers, the Food Pantry staff, Lighthouse Recreation Center volunteer, UMW Circles 1 & 2, is going on an upcoming Panama Mission trip and stays in a support role for Tim who is Committee Chairman for Boy Scout Troop 4. She is in the Birmingham chapter of The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary and has served as Membership Vice-President, Chaplain and President-elect; and has chaired the purse auction for the past two years.

Vicki Price, BMC 1977, Montgomery AL
Vicki Price is originally from the Memphis area. She graduated in 1977 from Blue Mountain College with a B.S. in Education, majoring in science and physical education. She started her teaching and coaching career in Memphis but has been teaching middle school physical education in Montgomery, AL for the last 22 years. She is an active member of Taylor Road Baptist Church and enjoys golf, working out, doing yard work and spending time with family and friends.
Greater Memphis Area Chapter President, Laura Plunk, 1998, Holly Springs MS
Laura graduated from Blue Mountain College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Education, earned the Masters of Education from the University of Mississippi in 2004, and became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2009. She has been a first grade teacher at Galena Elementary School in Holly Springs, MS for the past 15 years, serving as a grade level chairperson and is currently the chair of the Response to Intervention team. She is an active member of First Baptist Church in Holly Springs where she sings in the choir and plays the keyboard for the Praise Team. Laura is a Sunday school teacher, the Children’s Choir Coordinator, and the VBS Director. She became involved with the Greater Memphis Alumni Chapter after coming to Holly Springs. In 2011, she became secretary of the chapter and is currently serving as chapter president.
North Alabama – Laura Grisham Medley, BMC 1966, Huntsville AL
Laura notes: “North Alabama has sent many outstanding students to BMC in the past and our alumni group is working to make BMC more widely known guiding some of our new ‘rising stars’ over to enter her gates.” After retiring from an exceptional career as a teacher of mathematics, this Tippah County native has put action to her words by hosting many outstanding events in the North Alabama area to connect prospective students with the College and BMC alumni.
North Mississippi Co-Reps
Judith Bennett (Bengie) Foley is a native of New Albany, MS. She attended Blue Mountain College her freshman and sophomore years, 1980-1981. Due to her major, Bengie transferred to Ole Miss, where she graduated in Interior Design and minored in business and marketing. In 1990, she opened her insurance office in New Albany, where she has handled voluntary employee benefits as well as life and health products. Bengie is an active member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of New Albany and a member of the Women's Ministry where she has served in various offices and sat on numerous committees. She is also a member of the Kiwanis Club of New Albany and also actively involved in local civic activities.

Beverly Hemphill Moffitt, BMC 1975, Ripley MS
Beverly, one of the high-energy members of the BMC Faculty (Instructor of Education), is no stranger to the Board. She has served as the president of the BMC North MS Alumni Club and now partners with Bengie as a co-rep for the ever-growing number of alumni in North MS. Beverly is married to Tom Moffitt and has a grown son, Heath, who lives in Nashville. Beverly is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Ripley.
North MS Alumni Club President – Terri Yarbrough Stanford, BMC 1983, Ripley MS
Terri Stanford received her B.S. in Elementary Education in 1983. In 1984 she married Dr. John Stanford from Ripley. Their family includes three grown sons; John and Terri are expecting their first grand baby in September. Terri taught in Horn Lake, MS; served as Day Care Director and Children's Director at First Baptist Church Ripley, co-owned two Curves for Women; and since 2007, has served as Director of Development at My Choices Pregnancy Help Clinic – a non-profit organization. At FBC Terri has served on many committees, been privileged to go on many mission trips, taught in children, youth, college and adult Sunday School classes, and VBS, and has been the Wednesday night supper coordinator and cook for over 20 years. Terri enjoys working with BMC Alumni and BMC College students.
West Tennessee – Stephanie Seward Hart, BMC 1993, Eads TN
Stephanie Seward Hart is from the class of 1993, where she was a music major and a Eunomian. She is a member of Eads Baptist Church in Eads, TN, where she has served as the pianist for over 10 years. Stephanie works for a restoration company as the bookkeeper /office manager.
