What courses are offered online?

All Business Administration courses in the Business Administration Major at Blue Mountain College are currently offered in the online format. A few examples are:

The purpose of the General Education courses at Blue Mountain College are to prepare students for a lifetime of learning. Inspired by and consistent with the mission as a Christian College, the courses are designed to instill basic skills, knowledge, and attitudes deemed necessary for discipline study, global awareness, personal development, and reasoned response to a changing world. This educational experience should assist students as they build academic majors and minors and pursue meaningful careers in service to God and one another. All of the general education courses are required in degree programs at Blue Mountain College.
Is there a limit to the number of online courses I can take?
Students can take no more than 18 hours during any semester. Typical online students should plan to take 12 hours each semester, including summers.
Can I earn a degree online?
Yes, Blue Mountain College offers a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration fully online.
What are fees?
Tuition for a three-hour course: $1,020 (includes Application fee if the online application is completed.)
How do I pay for my courses?
Once a student registers for a course, the Office of Business Affairs will send the student a bill via email. The student may pay the bill by cash, check or credit card. No student will be given access to the online course until the bill is paid.
Will I qualify for financial aid?
To be eligible for financial aid at Blue Mountain College, you must:

-Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen

-Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an eligible degree program or seeking endorsements to meet requirements of Mississippi Department of Education certification

-Be in current standing on all student loans and grants from any institution

-Have approval for final admission to Blue Mountain College

-Have a complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with Blue Mountain College
-Apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) at (if you do not already have one).
-Complete the FAFSA at Blue Mountain College school code is 002398.

-Contact the Office of Financial Aid after you have completed your FAFSA. The financial aid staff will provide the forms required to process a federal loan.

How do I apply?
To apply for general admission, go to online application. Send Official transcripts and supporting documents to:

How do I register?
You may register using the online system in the Online Business Programs site.
Will I have an advisor?
Yes, you will be assigned an advisor as soon as you have been accepted into the online business program.
How do I get books?
Go to Blue Mountain College's online bookstore to order textbooks or to obtain text ISBN numbers for ordering elsewhere.  The school’s online bookstore does not sell e-books but you may purchase e-books that you download to your e-book reader device from other vendors.
What is the course schedule?

What is your withdrawal procedure?
Students who have completed the registration process, which includes receiving final admission into the college, submitting a completed registration form and receiving financial clearance from the Office of Business Affairs, incur an automatic non-refundable $100 fee. A student may receive a refund of course tuition, less the $100 non-refundable fee, if the withdrawal is prior to receiving access to course content. "Access to Course Content" is when the Registrar has uploaded your enrollment data into the system. Both the tuition for the course and the technology fee (Core Courses only) are non-refundable after the student receives access to the course content. Students who withdraw from an online course will receive a "W" grade through the fourth week of the online term. Students who withdraw after the fourth week will receive a "WP" or "WF". Students may not withdraw from the online course after the fifth week.
What is your class attendance policy?
Blue Mountain College requires class attendance. According to BMC Policy 2.10, students who miss classes 25% of the time will receive an automatic F in the course. Each professor will include an attendance requirement in the syllabus. Since each course meets 8 weeks, two weeks of non-attendance, which is 25% of the time in the course, will result in an automatic F. Each assignment for the week must be completed within the week to receive full attendance. The professor may specify other assignments which constitute an attendance.
Who do I contact with additional questions, complaints or the need of technical assistance?
Questions concerning online business classes should be directed to the Coordinator of Online Business. For technical assistance, go to or email Help Support,, giving your name, student ID, a phone number where you can be reached and the technical problem with any error messages you are receiving. During work hours, you may call 662-685-4771, ext. 102 for assistance.
How do I get an email address?
Blue Mountain College provides each student with an e-mail account. This account is an excellent means for communication with family, friends, and BMC faculty and staff. It will remain active as long as you are enrolled at Blue Mountain College. Professors will contact you through your e-mail address.

How do I access my BMC Email account?

Once an e-mail account is established, a student may access e-mail on or off the BMC campus by the following steps:

  1. Open your Internet browser program (Internet Explorer / Firefox / Safari / Chrome)
  2. Accessing the Blue Mountain College homepage (
  3. Clicking on the “BMC E-Mail” link. You will then see the login screen.
  4. In the first field, type in the e-mail address
  5. Tab to the next field and enter the password

Initial passwords will be set to a student’s college identification number. This number may be found on paperwork that comes from the Office of Business Affairs. A student may change their password. However, once the password is changed—only the student knows the new password. Be sure and write it down or memorize it.

What is BMCSpace and how do I use it?
A new electronic student services feature has been added to the BMC website called BMCSpace. You will find the link to BMCSpace located on the home page of the Blue Mountain College website ( or you can go to When you click on this link, it will take you to a login for BMCSpace. There you will find features along with other updates that will be happening throughout the semester.
How long are the online classes?
All online courses are 8 weeks long.
