Message From the Department Chair

Welcome to our Social and Behavioral Sciences page. We have various programs to offer which include the B.S. in Secondary Education, a B.S. and B.A. in Criminal Justice, a B.S. and B.A. in History, and a B.S. in Psychology. We also offer a number of minors to choose from. If you are interested in teaching middle school or high school students, our B.S. in Education should be the right fit for you. You will receive the classroom instruction you need while also getting involved with experiential learning through working with the students in the school system. We can also help you with possible internships such as building curriculum development for various grade levels at places such as the Natchez Trace Parkway, Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center, and more. We will show you how to make your resume stand out from all the others who just do the basic program at other institutions. This should help you toward landing the teaching position you desire.
